Food

I am one who loves to try cooking new items and i have done that

Chicken Kiev
So today im trying a new recipe called Chicken Kiev
Ingredients: Tbs - Tablespoon
  • 1 Tbs chopped green onion
  • 1 Tbs snipped fresh parsley ( i used just the ones you can buy in spice section in store)
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 of a 1/4-pound stick of butter, chilled
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbs water
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • salt and black pepper
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 Tbs cooking oil
in a bowl combine the onion parsley and garlic. Cut butter into four 2-1/2 by 1/2 inch sticks. in a bowl stir egg and water together.in another bowl put flour and in another bowl put the bread crumbs.
place chicken between 2 pieces of plastic wrap. using the flat side of a meat mallet pound chicken lightly. ( i used thin sliced chicken breasts and it worked fine). Remove plastic wrap. sprinkle salt and pepper. sprinkle with one-fourth of the onion mixture.(i found this to be to much for me). place a piece of butter in the center and fold sides and roll it up.
Coat chicken in flour then egg then bread crumbs then back to the egg then back to the bread crumbs. make sure the ends are coated well so they will stay closed, that is hard i did have one open on me. place in a 2-quart baking dish. Cover and chill for 1 to 24 hours.
In a large skillet i used a iron skillet melt 1 Tbs of butter over med-high heat add oil. then add the chilled chicken rolls. cook until golden brown on all sides just turn it ever so often. once brown place in the 2-quart baking dish and bake in oven at 400 degree F for 15 to 18 but it took mine about 22 mins so cook until it is no longer pink. spoon the drippings over the rolls and serve.

I liked this the hubsand loved this and cant wait for me to make it again and instead of butter you could add cheese.

Ribs
So today im making rubs and ive done it a few different ways so today i wanted to try a whole new way. So i found two different repieces online and i kinda of combined them. Now with me i dont really measure i kinda of just eye ball it. this is what i put in it
  • ribs
  • slat and pepper to taste
  • ketchup
  • brown sugar
  • apple cider vinegar
  • oregano
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Favorite kind of BBQ sauce
  • Paprika
  • Rosemary Flakes
  • Parsley Flakes
  • Fresh Onion cut
  • Fresh Minced Garlic
  • Poultry Seasoning
  • Season All
i mixed all the ingredients in a bowl and combined it like that the ribs i put in the oven at 400*F and cooked on each side for 15 mins so i can let it brown. i sliced them so it was just one rib and not a rack. Then i put it in the slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours. I made enough of the mixture to cover the ribs in eh slow cooker.
Turned out great

These are two things i have made and you know what i loved it i tried new things and it tated great both times!!!
